Ronaldo bought his jet a year ago for just over £15million

Cristiano Ronaldo will be grounded for the foreseeable future after the superstar's private jet crashed on landing at Barcelona's El Prat airport.

The Portuguese is about to get a bumper new contract from Real Madrid, and that payrise will come in handy as he prepares for a monster repair bill after the incident on Monday evening.

Eyewitnesses report that the plane's landing gear broke on impact with the runway, forcing emergency services into action.

One of the runways at El Prat was closed for a short time after the incident, in which nobody was hurt but the pilot was attended to for very minor injuries.

Ronaldo bought the Gulfstream G200 last year for some £15million, and sometimes leases his plane out for private clients.

Sources close to the Ballon d'Or favourite told MirrorFootball: "The plane is normally rented by companies and it was in use by one of them.

"Cristiano Ronaldo, his family or friends were not on the plane. The incident had no major consequences."

काठमाडौंः टीकापुर मुद्दा फिर्ता प्रकरणको विरोधमा प्रहरी महानिरीक्षक उपेन्द्रकान्त अर्यालसहित सिंगो प्रहरी संगठन उभिएपछि उपप्रधान एवं गृहमन्त्री विमलेन्द्र निधिले प्रहरीको मनोबल गिर्ने गरी मुद्दा फिर्ता नलिइने बताएका छन् ।

राजधानीमा शुक्रबार मन्त्री निधिले टीकापुर हत्यामा संलग्न अभियुक्तहरूको मुद्दा फिर्ता लिने निर्णय भइनसकेको बताए । राजनीतिक सहमतिको बहानामा टीकापुर नरसंहारमा संलग्न अभियुक्तहरूको मुद्दा फिर्ता लिने गृहमन्त्रीको तयारीको चौतर्फी आलोचना भइरहेका बेला उनले प्रहरी अधिकारीहरूसँग आफ्नो बचाउ गरेका हुन् । गृहमन्त्रीले प्रहरीको मनोबल गिर्ने गरी कुनै घटनामा पनि मुद्दा फिर्ता नलिइने अनौपचारिक प्रतिबद्धता प्रहरी अधिकारीहरूसँग गरेका थिए ।

आफू प्रधानमन्त्री बन्न पुष्पकमल दाहालले मधेस आन्दोलन र त्यसका परिणामलाई राजनीतिक घटनाक्रम भन्दै त्यस क्रममा लागेका झुटा मुद्दा फिर्ता गराउने सहमति मधेसी मोर्चासँग गरेका थिए । मन्त्री निधिले समेत गृह मन्त्रालयका अधिकारी र प्रहरीसँग भएका कतिपय बैठकमा टीकापुर नरसंहारलाई राजनीतिक घटनाक्रम भन्दै आएका छन् । उनले टीकापुर घटना पनि राजनीतिक घटना भएकाले त्यसमा संलग्न व्यक्तिको समेत मुद्दा फिर्ता हुने बताउँदै आएका थिए ।

गृहमन्त्रीको जिम्मेवारी समालेपछि निरीक्षण भ्रमणमा नक्सालस्थित प्रहरी मुख्यालय पुगेका गृहमन्त्री निधिले शुक्रबार टीकापुर घटनामा संलग्नहरूको मुद्दा फिर्ता लिने आफ्नो मनसाय नभएको बताए ।

दुई सय वर्ष पुरानो बंगलादेशको टंगेल जिल्लामा रहेको सबैभन्दा पुरा बेश्यालय हो कन्दापारा बेश्यालय । यो बंगलादेशकै दोस्रो ठुलो वेश्यालय पनि हो । हामीले बुझे अनुसार मुस्लिम देशहरुमा यौन सम्पर्कलाई खुला रुपमा नलिई र त्यहा यौनजन्य त्रियाकलापलाई अत्यन्तै कडा रुपले लिने गर्दछौं ।तर, बंगलादेश विश्वकै त्यस्तो मुस्लिम देशहरुमा पर्छ, जहाँ बेश्याबृत्तिलाई कानुनी रुपमै मान्यता दिइएको छ ।

उक्त (कन्दापारा बेश्यालय) दुई सय वर्ष अघि देखि चल्दै आइरहेको यो वेश्यालय सन् २०१४ मा बन्द भएको थियो । तर पछि त्याहाकै स्थानिय एन्जीओको सहयोगमा यो वेश्यालयलाई पुन सञ्चालनमा ल्याइएको थियो । धेरै महिलाहरु त्यही वेश्यालयमा जन्मिन्छन र त्यही हुर्किन्छन् । तर जब उनीहरु त्याहावाट हराउँछन् तब यो कुरा कसैलाई थाहा नै हुदैन ।
विदेशी सञ्चार माध्यममा उल्लेख भए अनुसार जब नयाँ केटिहरु बेश्यालयमा आउछन् तब ती किशोरीहरुलाई ‘बोन्ड गर्ल’ भन्ने गरीन्छ । उनीहरु प्राय १२ देखि १४ वर्ष बिचका हुन्छन् । ती किशोरीहरु प्राय गरी गरिब परिवारबाट आउने गर्छन् । ती मध्येका धेरैजना बेचबिखनको शिकार भएका हुन्छन् ।
उनीहरुलाई त्यहा ल्याउदा किनेको पैसा नउठाएसम्म उनिहरु स्वतन्त्र हुन पाउदैनन् र पैसा चुत्ता भएपछि मात्रा उनिहरुले त्यो ठाउ छोड्न पाउने चलन छ । त्यो पैसा चुत्ता गर्नलाई कम्तिमा पनि एक देखि पाच वर्षसम्म लाग्ने गरेको मिडियाहरुमा खुल्न आएको छ ।

Thunderstorm

In a curious little six-line poem he wrote in 1924, the American poet Robert Frost imagines, from a lofty atmospheric perspective, a conspiratorial conversation between the elements to bring about a fearsome storm below. “You push and I’ll pelt,” the rain says to the wind. I was reminded of Frost’s affecting swivel from the infinite to the intimate by the publication this week of photos taken from the International Space Station of weather systems developing on Earth, some 250 miles (402km) below it. In one image, a seething percolation of clouds punctuated by flashes of lightning can be seen troubling the distant sky. Without the instant zoom of a Frost-like lens to shuttle us from the heavens to the human and to bring into focus the havoc caused by the thunderstorms below, our reaction to the photo is at risk of remaining unfeelingly aloof. At far enough remove, the causes of pain can become aesthetic, even beautiful.

The ethics of perspective routinely rankle the imaginations of artists. In order to reassure viewers that a late storm-scape of his was entirely faithful to meticulously observed meteorology and not fabricated, JMW Turner turned his painting’s title into a breathless shipping forecast: Snow Storm – Steam Boat off a Harbour’s Mouth making Signals in Shallow, and going by the Lead. The Author was in this Storm on the Night the Ariel left Harwich (1842). Despite repeated guarantees by the artist that the misty vortex was indeed witnessed first-hand – “I got the sailors to lash me to the mast to observe it; I was lashed for four hours, and did not expect to escape, but I felt bound to record it if I did” – critics have long been suspicious of his account.

Rather than being admired for the commitment it allegedly demonstrates to climbing inside the disaster it portrays, the work was derided by gallery-goers when it was first exhibited in 1842 for its blurriness of painterly perspective. Where Turner believed his painting painstakingly documented the elemental facts of what really happened, the public dismissed the canvas as indistinct fantasy. Only the winds and rain know for sure whether Turner was really there. If he was, it is one of the great ironies of modern art that this work, more so than almost any other Turner painted, is credited for sowing the seeds of later abstraction.
